Prof. Dr. Cheah Yoke Kqueen, CSci, CBiol, FIBMS, FRSB, EurProBiol, is Editor in Chief of Life Sciences, Medicine and Biomedicine.
Prof. Dr. Cheah earned his bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science (1998), a Master of Science in Molecular Biology (2001), a PhD in Genetic Engineering and Molecular Biology (2006) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Bioinformatics (2018).
Prof. Dr. Cheah Yoke Kqueen currently serves as Deputy Director of the Centre for Industry Relations and Networks (CiRNeT), Universiti Putra Malaysia. He is a registered Chartered Scientist and Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Science, UK. He is also a registered Chartered Biologist and Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology, UK.
Prof. Dr. Cheah holds the position of President of the Malaysian Biomedical Science Association and BiomedKL Association. He is an established scientist with more than 200 scientific publications, 5 patents, copyrights and won numerous awards in the research exhibitions. He has successfully led 15 research grants. Prof. Dr. Cheah was awarded as the Top Research Scientist Malaysia in 2017, Best Postgraduate Supervision in 2015 (Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UPM) and Young Researcher Award in 2008.
